Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to Serbia Luca Gori about bilateral relations, economic cooperation and this country’s support to the European integration of Serbia and the Western Balkans. Brnabic wished Ambassador Gori a lot of success in his new mandate and pointed out that there is great potential for additional cooperation in the field of information technologies, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and green transition. According to the Prime Minister, Serbia will continue to implement reforms, especially in the field of rule of law, judiciary and the media. Speaking about the process of European integration, Brnabic underlined that full membership in the European Union remains one of the most important foreign policy priorities of our country. In this context, it would be of extreme importance if Serbia opened Cluster 3 in December, Brnabic said. When it comes to economic cooperation, Italy is one of the largest investors in Serbia, which is confirmed by the fact that Italian companies in Serbia employ around 50,000 citizens. The Italian Ambassador expressed gratitude on the welcome and underlined that his country will continue to support Serbia on its European path. He added that he will personally will try to raise cooperation to a higher level and that he already has certain ideas for new projects.
