Upon the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion of the Republic of Malta, Ambassador Goran Aleksic attended the traditional annual reception for the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Malta on January 11th.

During his visit to Valetta, the ambassador had the opportunity to meet with senior Maltese officials: Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, Foreign Minister Carmelo Abela, and Minister of Economy Christian Cardona, with whom he exchanged views on the bilateral co-operation between Serbia and Malta. During the discussions it was jointly concluded that the relationship between two countries is very good, with many possibilities for its further improvement in various fields. Maltese officials have underlined the importance of the numerous Serbian diaspora living and working in Malta, which has made an important contribution to the economic growth of this country during the previous year.
